  1. BSB and WSBK seem to have turned into contact sports.

  2. It seems that paint and kerb is now considered ‘a gap’

  3. Bloody exciting though wasn’t it. Breath in, coming through. :D

  4. So there are some short memories on here, JR has pulled equally as dodgy if not worse, moves in previous years. I do however agree, this year there has been some very aggressive close racing and not just limited to WSBK. Andy

  5. I stopped being a fan when he took out haslam and Melandri got all the blame at donington. Rea has made plenty of doggy passes, but I think it will escalate now that Toprak has overstepped the mark, rea will do the same. Meanwhile, Redding will continue to pass cleanly and su0w what a class rider he is

  6. Bit like club racing then.

  7. Bautista down yet again another great decision to sign him next season by Ducati

  9. Rea’s interview was interesting. In short, it toprak happy to play like that, so am I, and he’ll feel it.
    Race later will be fun….

  10. Disaster race for Rea, good performance by Redding, but BMW in wet is another level

  11. Lesson in life number one, never underestimate the luck of the Irish :joy:

And someone make sure Scott cycles to Argentina.

  12. Amazing come back by Rea, can't deny that

  13. Toprak very unlucky with gear failure bringing him down.

  14. Good 3 races this weekend, I kind of lost interest in WSB some years ago, possibly because Ducati cannot string a championship together or maybe JR is the Marquez of WSB, I dunno.

However, this year I've watched a few races and this weekend managed to watch all 3, Toprak has reignited my interest and taking it it JR, the guy is incredible on the brakes and he's nigh on impossible to pass going into corners, locking up on the DH into turn one at Portimao and staying on was unbelievable, if you've been there/ridden there it's not something I would recommend.

Tough racing, over the edge a few times and after recent events (and yesterday's Moto3) the passes and actions are on or over the limit now IMO.

When Toprak crashed in race 3 and the replay you saw the mudguard fail, I do wonder if he just brakes so hard the front end dive broke the mudguard, I cracked one on my 999 years ago at Jerez under heavy braking, which makes me think it was possibly this.

24 points between them in favour of Toprak, still all to play for and yet to be confirmed if it's 1 or 2 rounds to go.

As an aside, Loris Baz did an amazing job, shows what motivation and possibly trying to get back into WSB can do, I know Chaz is retiring but will he get a podium on that bike before the season is out?

  15. Definitely went up in my estimations this weekend (im sure he'll be overjoyed to hear).

  16. Looked like mudguard came off and under wheel, regardless what the team say. Something went under that front wheel…

  17. Abs, what a weekend of rides!!

Rea was the same one that rode the old Honda in race 3: committed and win or bin. Think his anger must have given the bike 20hp…

Like Freak, I’ve lost interest last couple of years as it’s pretty processional other than the an sprint or odd weather. Most are watched at x12 for me. This weekend I watched most of all the races at normal speed.

  18. But he rode it like his old ten Kate days… he hasn’t needed to since he joined Kawasaki;)

  19. As a slight side note, JR does have a good YT channel.

I'm not a fan but after watching some of his vlogs on his race weekends he has gone up in my estimations, and off track him and Toprak seem to get on pretty well.
