BEST OF THE REST: Redding strong as Gardner shows potential Over at the Bonovo Action BMW team, Scott Redding and Garrett Gerloff were also working on tyre management and race pace; Gerloff suffered a technical issue at Turn 1 earlier in the day but got back out, although he was one of only two riders who didn’t improve in the afternoon. Scott Redding said he didn’t know there was a new surface until he arrived to the circuit and that the plan was out of the window when the testing day was put all onto one. However, he went well in the afternoon and was second-best BMW in P7, P8 overall. He was one place ahead of Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) who was P9 come the end of running, whereas teammate Dominique Aegerter was 13th. "Potential" is an interesting way to describe 9th in your second season.

Not going to lie i forgot there was mgp testing at the same time as wsb, I always thought the final test before the season started was the week before not a fortnight before.
I must have missed this Bautista info; - the injury just before last year's MotoGP ride "...rider was diagnosed with C6-C7 hernia and C5-C6 disc protrusions...." Is this the end for him, as it looks unlikely his neck will be mended any time soon...?
One would imagine he has access to very good doctors and physios so if he’s still suffering that’s not a good sign IMO.
