Thanks for that Pete.........yes definitely looks wrong but if it had worked I could have lived with that - clip on for long journey and remove at destination.
Cheeky. No good on ultra short Givi screen, good on standard. So I'm not tempted with you wild offer, I have put it back on my FJR.
I was half hoping it would be good on the shorter Pikes Peak style screen, but I also have a standard and touring screen and would swap for longer trips if this product helped. Duc Pete - not sure whereabouts in the country you live, but if it's anywhere near the SE maybe we could meet up sometime?
Having read good reports on the Puig Short Racing Screen, I decided to try one with my Spoiler. Going to Germany in May and would like a little more wind protection on autoroutes. Bought a clear screen to match spoiler. Screen on 2013 bike without spoiler. Screen is really well made and I think it suits the bike. Riding the bike up to legal speeds is good, nice clean airflow no noise or buffering. However at higher speeds over a long time, the wind blast would be too tiring for me. Screen at highest setting with Spoiler. With spoiler on the airflow is pushed higher and makes a big difference. I'm 6ft 1in and sitting in my normal riding position, I could maintain Autoroute speeds for hours with no problem. Lean forward slightly and duck down a little and you are virtually completely out of the blast. Very easy to take the spoiler off, if and when you want a more naked look. The screen does not get marked protected by rubber pads on the spoiler. For me this combination is about as good as it going to get on two wheels.
Trouble with screens everyone is different for every rider, and you do not know who it will be till you have bought it I have just got a MS, and the screen just does not seem tall enough and I am only 5'-7"
I have a 2013 GT, it seems better than the normal MS screen but also looking for 'more'. Ive fitted the Palmer Sports adjustable brackets - not happy with it - cant seem to find a position that works (yet). Ill be riding more this weekend so will keep trying. Im just short of 6 foot - found that the GT screen on the highest position works best. Any lower - too much windnoise.
