Discussion in 'Suggestions & Feedback' started by TonyMNo1, Jan 12, 2022.

  1. When I clicked on that it just came back with this

  2. I get this too using edge on my work laptop and it’s only happened for the first time today.

  3. You should consider a career in it support , you’ve pretty much nailed every response I’ve ever had from them anyway.

  4. Concerning the link to reporting that a website with a warning is safe, unfortunately it looks as though the above link needs to be accessed from the warning message to allow feedback on the specific site to be provided. So, if you don't see the warning, the link is not effective.
As flagged by Bumpkin above, if you are able to access the site using Microsoft Edge, with smartscreen enabled, you may receive the warning and thus have access to the safe report option?
I'll see if I can locate other methods.
    Tom.
PS. I'm not sure what the implications are of message 22?

  5. @Rob is dealing with it :)

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  6. So we are still unclear as to whether or not the website is safe or otherwise. I've clearly just logged on again and had to override the recommendation NOT to twice to gain access. HMMM.....

  7. Not dissimilar to plenty of sites out there. The key-logging issue can be used for nefarious reasons but usually it's used in an aware/context sensitive assistant role.

  8. The site is safe. We have to register that with MS.

  9. ET I have as well, however, unsure as to how many responses are necessary in order to override their current view/position/status, if indeed that is a required criterion of measurement/assurance.
I'm reasonably 'techie' as far as IT is concerned, but TBH, I can't enable sufficient interest to trawl through what will inevitably be treacle-like requirements to figure this out. Hopefully @Rob will be able to.
Apologies in advance for my laziness and for posting this query up in the first place.
It was a genuine concern. :innocent:

  10. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. :upyeah:

@Rob knows how to deal with this thankfully :)

  12. For information, as an interim measure, I have switched off 'Microsoft Defender SmartScreen' in Edge settings, and site access is available without the warnings.
I also checked an alternative browser, and the issue didn't arise.

  14. Mine has just begun on PC only, exactly as above, started just now. Message says something along the lines of “website blocked due to phishing “
I could also turn this off by making an exception in security software, but have forgotten password and this means complete reloading.

  15. Forgotten your password? Why don't you just make it the same a your bank log in/ PIN? LOL!

  16. I’ve asked @Rob to look into a few things happening presently

  17. Suspect ad tracking is the issue, lots of recent security patches released. Apple a bit ahead of the game, MS catching up. On safari it’s doesn’t allow ad tracking or most of the stuff higher in the page that are cause to cone]cern afaik becsue j set it not to.

  18. @Rob has now changed some of the settings that could have been causing issues. Can you please let me know if there are any other issues going forward.

    Thanks.
