748s is a good looking bike and will be loads of laughs. That particular colour was limited to only a few in the UK as I recall and don't let anyone try and tell you it's a Senna as it plain and simply isn't. It will have the later Testabassa engine with the lowered exhaust cam which is a nice straight forward 4 valve and relatively easy to maintain. Only possible downside is that the bodywork will be difficult to touch up if it's chipped or scratched and finding s/Hand panels in any condition will be nigh on impossible but hey it's a 18 year old model and should be about riding and enjoying rather than being a cosseted show piece. All in all a much better choice than that other thing you were looking at.

Private plate and paint it black - advertise as Varese Nero, you'll make a fortune

Always wanted a 748 in those colours. Seems a bit pricey to me with those miles and being a Cat D, but hey ho.

Sounds like a fair offer, plenty more bikes out there so wouldn't worry unduly. On to better things etc.
