For Day 3 I was thinking of heading SW out of Strasbourg to Molsheim (the original home of Bugatti), on the D1420 to Schirmeck, via the D342 up to the Col du Donon and south to Raon l'Etape. N59 past St Die-des-Vosges and south on the D23 through the Roches du Diable area to Hohneck and the Col d'Hahnenbrunnen. Turning north-east up the D27 to Munster then left up the D48/D148 over the Col du Calvaire and Col du Bonhomme to Ste Marie aux Mines. A brief stretch east on the N59 then north on the D424/425/426 over the Col du Kreuzweg to Le Hohwald, Obernai, and finally the A35 autoroute back to Strasbourg. Weather permitting, as ever. Again, roughly 200 miles in the day, about 20 cols of various heights, and lots of picturesque spots.
Joking aside, I will post up details of the Vietnam trip once they are decided, just in case anyone wants to come along. The more the merrier, but everyone will have to fit in with our dates as my mate out there has other commitments to consider and so do I. Oh ... and we won't be riding Ducatis ;-) Now ... back to the matter at hand in this thread ...
