  1. Yeah, so you can sail into the corner even faster with the autoblipper deciding it either doesn't fancy it, or giving you about a thousand revs to try and deal with! the worst bit about the V2 for sure. Cue all the people flying along to tell us it's the best quickshifter they have ever used haha.

Hope to catch up at a track soon mate, I am pit crew for my mate at Brands at the end of the month for the last round of Bemsee if you fancy coming for beers and a look around

  2. Would love to mate, but I'm at BSB that weekend. Won a VIP pass with hospitality etc so going to abuse it :joy:

  3. Donington GP

Last round of the season and what a season it has been. Exceeded my own expectations. Said I'd be really happy with a top 5 championship finish so finishing 3rd and fighting for 2nd till the last round I can't complain at all.

Race 1 - My first win! Hardest I fought all year. Stared from pole, but having had clutch issues since Brands, I just get mugged off the line and end up having to fight back through. Even got roasted by the commentator I'm told. Pushed hard, caught back up to the front and the fight was on. Wasn't without drama though as me and another rider managed to hit each other pretty hard out of the old hairpin. He ran wide, I tried to undercut and as he cut across to take the line on the right, boom! Both fine though. I was mega aggressive and utilised my strengths on the brakes in the last sector overtaking on both hairpins taking the lead on the last corner of the second to last lap to secure my first win!!!

Race 2 - Very similar to race 1 just without the crashing into each other bit, but finished P2 in class with less than half a second between the top 3 of us. Was helped out by a red flag as the first stint I fell back a bit, but 2nd stint fought back.

Race 3 - Really struggled. Other than yet another crap start, just seemed to have limited rear grip. Wasn't sure if it was the tyre or temp. Was a second off my pace from race 1 & 2 so something wasn't quite right. Others doing similar times. Finished P4 in class and that pretty much lost P2 in the championship for me without something drastic happening.

Race 4 - New (scrub) tyre in. A 190/60 instead of 180/60. Bad start again, but not as bad as some of the others. Tyre felt great. Seemed much more stable on the fast hard accelerating corners like top of Craner and Starkeys. Another 3 way battle after a terrible injustice was done to a fellow competitor as he got wiped out in the first lap or so. Took the lead on lap 7 into Redgate (was quite proud of that move) and pressure was on. I'm not as strong in Sector 1 and 2 so needed a clean run to keep ahead before I could get to the last sector to create a small gap. I'm now on the 2nd to last lap and fairly confident I can secure a win. Approach foggy esses hard on the brakes, turn in, bit of chatter then bang. Front gone and that was that.

    PB 1:39.7 - Ideal of 1:39.3

Gutted to have ended that way, but was nice to be pushing at the front like I was at Cadwell and to a degree Brands.

Great year, lots of memories, significant amount of cost and a winter project.
